Of course it does. You actually don’t even know what your question is. Imran at the time was a* sportsman.* A nationally loved sportsman. He used to get recognised by the state of Pakistan, whether it meant getting recognised by respective government of Zia ul Haq, Benezir Bhutto or Nawaz Sharif. The simple fact you are failing to understand and perhaps won’t understand either is that Imran was a nonpolitical entity who was nothing less of a celebrity. I’m surprised that someone who claims to have supported Imran doesn’t know all about this!
I’m sure you would come up and say what is the difference between Shahid Afridi and Zardari and Nawaz Sharif, because Shahid Afridi the athlete has been recognised by at least two different governments, and seen greeting most popular politicians,.
