US has a presidential system and their campaigns rely heavily on how a candidate performs in election debates. UK adopted that election debates idea in 2009 and Nick Clegg benefited a lot from that otherwise Tories would have gotten a clear majority.
Unprecedented rise in political awareness, media outreach and the rising third power in political front, I think it would be a great idea for AZ/Gillani or Bilawal?, NS and IK to have showdown in media on major challenges facing pakistan today like Economy, Corruption, Foreign policy, Education and it will be interesting to see how each of them fares. Considering how politically observant a common urban pakistani is, it will be huge session in terms of electoral success is concerned.
