Murray will be kicking himself after losing a 30-15 lead. But wait - all is not lost - he pushes Isner to the side of the court and Muzza’s got a chance. Big serve pushed wide saves the American. Goes to deuce. And ooof - a third ace gives him the advantage. Isner’s turn to have his opponent on the run and a crushing smash gives him the game. Encouraging signs for Murray though.

Another game to love for Murray. Solid stuff. He wanted to know why all the journalists were concerned with his service the other day - he’s coming up with a few answers today.

The first points taken off a serve. Murray gets it to 30-30 but Isner whips one to Murray’s back-hand and the scrambling Scot has no chance. A steady conservative start from both players.

0022: “Come on Muzza! I am lying in bed after a night on the whisky at my parents-in-law in Scotland 400 miles from my home in Oxford, following the game on my mobile. Let’s hope the game turns out better than my attempts to discuss the merits of why Chris Evans is a worthy successor to Terry Wogan”

A weird start to the game. Murray has three lets with ball kissing the tape. Isner sporting a garish yellow shirt and he really is big. A big rally to start with and the American sends one long. Murray looking a little weary with his serve and it’s a messy service game but he pulls through to love and finishes with a drop shot which Isner makes no effort to retrieve. He’s saving his energy.

It looks hot out there and already Isner’s serve looks in top gear. The game lasts as long as it takes to sip on my coffee - once. Plenty for the Brit to think about.

My IT colleagues are on the case. The players are still warming up. So remember - MANUALLY REFRESH.0007: The boys are warming up on Rod Laver Arena…so Murray has never reached a quarter-final spot in Australia. Can he do it The fifth seed is up against a 24-year-old who’s seeded 28. The 6ft 9" star beat Andreas Seppi in the first round in five sets. Then beat Ireland’s Louk Sorensen and world number 12 Gael Monfils. The American sent down 26 aces and only three double faults and won 80% of the points. In a few words Murray has to deal with a massive serve.DavindaAulak on Twitter:](https://twitter.com/DavindaAulak)“Aussie Open beginning to hot up now. 2348: Sometimes at the stroke of midnight, you can turn into a pumpkin if you haven’t been behaving yourself. Sometimes, the more lucky ones get to chomp on a feast of top drawer tennis. In about 15 minutes, pumpkin or no pumpkin, the second option will be falling upon you. You don’t have a choice. You just sit back and accept the fact you’re going to follow Britain’s top tennis player fend off a barrage of aces against an American giant in the Australian Open. It really is that simple. Andy Murray vs John Isner. For a place in the quarter-finals. It’s live on the BBC - TV, 5 live and here on the website. So what’s it going to be And don’t you dare accuse me of being under-prepared. I’ve washed my hair for this one AND used conditioner. Normal people in normal circumstances just don’t do these things. That’s how much it means to me.
