Why the heck would Nawaz Sharif refuse to hand his passport to the immigration official - as it is being reported on GEO.
Does it not give the Govt a valid reason to arrest him.

There is no Geo reporter (or any other reporter) actually inside the airport, so in the absence of information media often make up stuff.

Well, there appears to be a GEO reporter with Sharif (probably travelled with him from London).
The newsroom guy has not been able to establish contact with him over cell phone because apparently jammers have been deployed around the airport. (from what is being told)

I don't understand this. Now they are saying that Sharif is still inside the aircraft. So when did Sharif refuse to hand his passport to the immigration officials. Did the imm people get inside the aircraft to ask for his passport.
