Joke aside, I must admit that more often, I am the culprit of that behavior. Every now and then, my wife is saying something and I am pretending to listen to her but mind is wandering all over the place .. I am sure that irritates her a lot. I am sorry honey

I do that to wife and kids.
Sometimes my kids will tell me you agreed to this and this and this and I will say no I did not and they will say yes you did on that day , at that time. another
And I will tell them , I guess I was not paying attention to what you were making me commit to.
