Trust in Allah (swt)
Once upon a time there was a king always trusted Allah and was ok with everything that happened to him.
One day the king accidently cut in his hand and lost one of his fingers.
He was bleeding heavily and the minister who was standing next to him saw the whole thing happening.
Then the minister said:“Khair Khair in_sha_Allah.” (good, good if Allah wishes so).
The king became mad and said:“How could you call something like this good? I’ve lost a finger and you think that’s good?”
He turned around and told his guards to lock the minister up.
When the guards took him, the minister without resisting said:“Khair khair in_sha_Allah.”
The king shook his head and looked the other way.
Days later the king went hunting in a wood far away. He left his men and affairs behind him and went on by himself.
He ran into a group of people who were worshipping a statue. They belonged to a people that worshipped idols. They were in the middle of a party and looking for a sacrifice.
They grabbed the king and took him to sacrifice him. But just before they were going to sacrifice him, they noticed his missing finger and said: “No this mans body is not perfect and can’t be used as sacrifice for this god.” To his suprise they released the king.
The king returned to his palace and ordered the release of the minister, he called him and said:"Now I udnerstand why you said “khair in_sha_Allah when my finger was cut because I escaped death from a peopel that wanted to sacrifice me. They released me becuase I was missing a finger.”
The minister smiled and thanked Allah.
The king said but then I have a question for you. “Why did you say Khair in_sha_Allah when you were taken to prison?”
the minister said:“I’m your minister and therefor always accompanying you; if I would have joined you in the woods, they would have taken me as a sacrifice instead because I’m not missing a finger.”
The king laughed and said: “Alhamdulillah and Khair khair in_sha_Allah!”
