Life is full of events and tests. Good moments pass very quickly but during hardships the time seems to have stopped.
After a difficult time when I sit outside in the rain during the time of sunset, the flow of cherished memories console me and motivates me to not lose hope and continue to work
Following is one I would like to share:
When I was leaving Pakistan, my grand mother kissed my fore head, saying " With whom will I share my experiences of life and chat all night when you will leave me" tears dropping from her eyes as she looked at me.
Trying to avoid looking in her eyes and controlling my self I replied." It is a matter of few years, then I would come back InshAllah".
“Who knows by that time I would be alive or not”. she replied.
I said “koi baat nahin, at least we will meet in the heavens inshAllah”
I can never forget that beautiful smile which appeared on her face.
Do you have any memories to share which when you recall fills your heart with hope and love ?
thats very touching but i dont like when someone u love talks abt dying. My folks do n i hate it.
Both my folks are 60+ now n they so badly want me to get married since all my siblings are married except me. They wont talk to me abt it directly but they wud tell my sis to talk to me abt it. I just turned 22. I told my sis i am so young i need atleast another 2 yrs or so. But she was like they r old now...ur next stage is marriage...imagine wat their next stage wud be...
I really used to love the moments when we used to cruise in the car at night. I could feel the wind through my hair. (pre-hijab era).
Once my cousin was staying over at our place, because her mom was out of town in pak. She was feeling so down, that she would not eat. I then told her that even my mom left for pak once, its going to be okay...then why do you need to so upset.
Her response: well atleast you had your dad...
You see, my cousins father doesnt live with them nor talks to them. My heart broke into millions of pieces when she said that ;'(
