Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
I dono about it being "screened" in Israel, but the 2nd season was due to air in Gaza, Turkey, Israel and a number of other places.
We should all watch it, it's not a bad show. :)

Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
first one was "screened" in Israel, dont know about second season.
and also dont know whether we should watch this program or not.
Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
i dono about ‘WE’ but it’s up to you whether you want to watch it or not.
I would recommend watching it, it’s kinda comical and…not so bad.
C’mon Support CBC ![]()
Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
“WE” as in Ummah ![]()
i find one thing really really disrespectful…so to me their concept is not less than bollywood genre “Islamiczation”
Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
it's a start. More muslims shows= more muslim recognition and voice in the community.
They do teach values you know...even if it's in a cheesy/flirty/lame way.
Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
what values (especially in cheesy/flirty/lame way)? :)
Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
like muslims shouldn't lie, shouldn't gossip, fast, segregation and if it's practical or not.
You haven't even seen the show yet...how about watching it first before you form an opinion? :)
Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
i did watch the first season. :)
probably i am not use to ahem ways u mentioned :roman, so might didnt get them :)
ps. i didnt like the way Imam closed (in fact slammed) Quran-e-pak in one of the episodes, and that thing is stuck in my head :(
ps.2 no one should lie, gossip, segregate whether they are muslim or not. concept of fasting exist almost in every religion.
Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
islam is a joke n we don't need some clowns telling us that.

keep Islam and your sarcasm, separate
Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
Why would you speak on behalf of the Ummah? :konfused:
On another note, its ok to watch/discuss pakistani cinema and not this? ![]()
Watching something does not always means that you have to agree with it. You can watch something to get something out of it but doesn’t necessarily mean you are in 100% agreement with it. If I remember correctly, you were the one who opened a thread in Pak Showbiz about Khuda Ke Liye (which is now at 411 replies and 15, 565 views). Does this mean you agreed with whatever the movie showed? Doesn’t necessarily has to be that.
Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
for pakistani cinema, if you have problems with my comments, please feel free to discuss them in pakistani cinema thread (that is why i opened that thread :))
back to the main concern:
i no where stopped anyone to not to watch this show.
llol…simple fact is you wont gonna get the applications of psychoanalytical therapy.
Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
Good but then why would you say* “we”* [as in Ummah] unless you were sure that everyone in the Ummah would agree with you? See what i’m trying to say here? ![]()
If you don’t get “psychoanalytical therapy” out of it, then don’t watch it. Don’t speak for the ummah. And I don’t want to discuss about pakistani cinema, that was mere example to show you here.
With that I rest my case :k:
Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
i will strongly encourage you read my comments again, and at least try to understand them.
ps. that was kinda cheap of an action to bring Pakistan Cinema thread in here. feel free to read my comments in Miss Pakistan thread.
(it gonna help you next time)
Re: Little Mosque on the Prairie
No I don't need to re-read anything. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that you said "we as in Ummah" back there. And why was it cheap to bring Pakistani Cinema thread in here? Did you not open that thread? Or did someone else open that (and other threads) in Pak Showbiz while you were away from computer?
I would suggest just take few moments to relax, drink water, take it easy and come back and the re-read your own comment to see whether or not you were speaking for the ummah.
Bottomline: You don't want to watch the show, then by all means don't. But do not go around speaking for the ummah because you don't know why the other person is watching it.
As for me, I do not feel like hitting my head against the wall at this time so toodlez!
