Hmmmm, I wonder how professional makeup artists feel about this, if they have daughters, what’s their mindset on makeup for kids? There’s quite a few here on GS, I’d like to hear what they think.

Mom applying makeup is fine, the question is how much importance does she give it.

In my home, as a part of getting ready we always saw my mom put on some light makeup but it was never a necessity or an essential part of her life.

We didn’t get to wear makeup until late teens. Even then it was usually only eyeliner or mascara.
