In the past I have made suggestion which over time have finally been added to your list of “updates”. A quick recap.
- Tell a member when his post is edited or moved. 2 years later you finally do it.
- Allowing members to buy back their warnings through rep - the dumbest idea ever, considering I bought back 5 warnings in a span of 12 hours. I can provide a screenshot if you want.
- Watching for people posting with multinicks on forum polls.
All great additions, sadly you never listened to me when I mentioned them.
Now a fourth suggestion you will never implement until 2010:
- Allow members to contest warnings and such. Moderators are human beings and thus very prone to mis-judgement and more importantly bias. Thus a check and balance must be maintained. So in serious cases allow members to contest their “warnings”, infront of a panel larger than one person. Consider it a council of sorts.
I look forward to seeing this being implemented by the time I have gray hair.
