First off i think there are books which recently got written in Pakistan after earth quake i dont have access to them as of yet. I am sure they will be coming here soon.

I think he might be looking for names like MukhtaraN mai or Asma Jahangir etc. Most of what you're saying are "philanthropists" who no doubt are heros but "different kind" of heros. There should be granduer under most unfavorable conditions. I think.

roman so you are talking about women who were being abused or got raped. i dont think i feel comfortable giving them a title of hero. They are definately consider a role model for those who are being abuse so they can raise their voices.
