List of de facto Pakistani Sadr i Mamlikat

I dont have the best knowledge of Pakistani History, but one thing i find confusing in studying it is the constant interchange and power plays between different levels of government, namely the President, Vice President, Military General and Chief Justice.

Can you guys provide the de facto leaders of Pakistan in a linear form, along with the length of years they spent?

From what i know:
Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (few months)
Liaqat Ali Khan
General Ayub Khan
Yahya Khan???

Bhutto

Zia ul Haque
Benazir Bhutto
Nawaz Sharif
General Pervez Musharraf

Im leaving some out in between. Please help. Thanks.

Re: List of de facto Pakistani Sadr i Mamlikat

Zobia, I said de facto meaning in reality

For example, during some General's rule you had "acting" Presidents. Also, the PM is the head of government, but real power was under Musharraf.

So give me the de facto rulers. Like SindSagar did.

Re: List of de facto Pakistani Sadr i Mamlikat

^ in that case no more de facto(s) are left to b discussed. u mentioned all of them in your first post. :stuck_out_tongue:

or prolly u missed Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain or Altaf Hussain :hehe:

Re: List of de facto Pakistani Sadr i Mamlikat

I dont get it, your telling me at some point the Vice President (Vizier ul Mulk) was de facto leader of the nation and the President was Second place?

I need the de facto leaders of the nation please.

Re: List of de facto Pakistani Sadr i Mamlikat

the only de-facto leader after Quaid-e-Azim was Zulfiqar Ali Butto
