Mahatir Mohammad? I think any sincere leader could have achieved what they have for their countries.
Pakistan has always had a leadership crisis. 1947-1958 unstable democratic governments (murder of Liaqat Ali Khan), 1958-1971 (Martial Laws which lead to the breakup of the country), 1971-76 (democratic regime) and then again a martial law from 76-88, again a period of democratic governments between 88-99 (basically a cat and mouse game in which 4 governments were changed), dictatorship again from 1999 to 2007, and now this so called democratic government.
