don't take each other, or your relationship, for granted.
work at your marriage- it is a job like any other but with much greater rewards and benefits for both of you.
work in tandem on the bigger issues like your families, your careers, education, children, etc.
understand, accept and work with each other's limitations. love the person your spouse is, not the person you want them to be. remember, change comes from within; so don't try to force it on someone else.
