Salam…

Has anyone been to Lisbon? Me and my friends are planning to go there in Summer. Has heard good things about the city, but it is really good?
And how many days are enough to explore the city?

Any personale expirence, places we should visit, etc..?
I hope someone can share…

I went to Lisbon on a business trip last summer, but I also had 2 half-days to explore the city, which I felt was not enough time to do justice to this beautiful city.

I can't remember the names of all the places I've been to, but I've written them down somewhere. I'll check and post the names of those places when I get back to Dubai on Monday.

Overall: Lisbon is one of the most amazing European cities I've been to.

Thanks for the info umer..Yes, it looks very beautiful...We are thinking to spend 3-4 days there, and then go some other places around there...are they some good days trip you can take from Lisbon?

Ok, here are some of the nice places I visited there:

  • Lisbon Mosque
  • Oceanarium
  • Vasco Da Gama Bridge (one of the longest bridges in the world)
  • Vasco Da Gama Mall
  • 25 de Abril Bridge
  • Docas (Docks at Lisbon Port - A lot of great seafood restaurants there)
  • Avenida de Liberdade (central Lisbon, very nice for a walk)
  • Baixa (Historical Center, all the touristy stuff happens in that area)
  • Marques de Pombal

I missed out on Belem Palace and Monsanto Park unfortunately.

Thanks for the info, its look interesting..

We have not yet taken the decision to travel to Lisbon. Are they any other countries/Cities in Europe worth visting apart from; Paris, Spain, Germany, Italy, England, Nederland...

You forgot to mention the most beautiful countries in Europe: Switzerland and Austria.

Hehe..I know..but I live in Norway...and Switzerland is more like Norway or the other way..So those countries will not be interesting for us..I think..but they are beautiful for sure...
