Before buying a lipstick it’s a good idea to know what undertones you have.. and then keep u’re complexion in mind. The size of u’re lips is important and so is the time of day.
If u have thin lips, stay away from dark colors as they will only make u’re mouth look smaller.
Light neutrals for the day and deeper colors for the evening.
If u have fair skin deep plums, berry, wine reds with blue undertones look best. Browns and light mediums also flatter fair skin. Colors to stay away from bright/loud pinks
Olive/Yellow skin shud choose rich deep reds and browns and dark berry shades. Stay away from orangey reds and avoid pinks.
Medium skin should select from deep pinks, corals and creamy coffee colored lipsticks. Stay away from very pale browns though they might make u look very ashy.
Dark skins can carry reds with blue undertones, mahogony, dark coffee brown and they shud avoid orange lipsticks.

personally i dont use lipsticks........just transparent glosses.......but i used this one at a friend's place and with the gloss it gave a great color!!

i really dont use much lipsticks but have just bought a luscious lipi in vintage rose...love the color...
but for normal use i love nude colors and my fav is maybelline moisture extreme lipstick in nude blush..its too good.i love its texture and lipstick is so glossy and creamy...
Lipsense is awesome; stays on all day and does not dry out your lips. My next fav is Lipink but it isn’t as long lasting and they don’t have very many colors (Lipsense has over 50 and counting - I may be wrong, they may have more) and thesedays I am trying and liking Semi-Matte’s by NARS as well.

"sequin" and "chic" are pretty everyday pinks.. NC40 is medium-to-wheatish

What would be some good natural looking lipstick colors for someone with medium light skin tone.... I wear Lancome Photogenic in Buff 2 is that gives you any idea of my skin tone.....
My lips are kind of dark colored and any lipstick i put on becomes dark no matter what color..... and if i use too light of a lipstick then i look so washed out.....
