i dont know whats wrong with my lips…after one hour i feel a white layer on my lipstick..what to do?
Re: lipstick problem
no not dry skin
Re: lipstick problem
i get the white film when i apply chapstick.. it doesn't really happen with lipstick. hmm, just make sure your lips are exfoiliated and moisturized before you apply lipstick. also, i heard applying foundation on your lips before you apply lipstick helps the lipstick stay put, which should keep any white film from forming
Re: lipstick problem
i meant dead skin
does it happens with all the lipsticks or just one kind? if it's just one kind then change the brand and type and try a different one
Re: lipstick problem
it could also be you're dehydrated and not drinking enough water
Re: lipstick problem
once i tried a whitening toothpaste and it left a white filmy thing on my lips...kinda like dry egg white.
Re: lipstick problem
could be your toothpaste or something like that
Re: lipstick problem
^ ?
Anyways, firstly make sure your lips are exfoliated and well moisturised. Then apply a lipliner in the same colour as your lipstick all over the lips. This will help the colour stay all day and acts as a lovely base for the lipstick! They apply one layer of lipstick and blot on a tissue. Then apply a second coat. Your lipstick shouldn't move or change colour with this method. But if it does, you might want to think about changing your brand!
Re: lipstick problem
i know what u mean.
first off, this means u are dehydrated. I have noticed when i drink a lot of water [take a sip everyother half hour... total at least 8-10 glasses er day... best way to do this is carry a small plastic water bottle with u around, like a dassani or something]... the white film doesnt exist.
second, before applying lipstick/lip balm/gloss... exfoliate your lips [use a toothbrush to genty scrub] and wash your lips with warm water.
Then while the lips are still moist, rub lip balm over them. and then apply your gloss, lipstick.
this will prevent the white film from forming.
Let me know if this is working for u!
