What colors do you recommend for the lips? Please include the make-up brand as well as the name of the color.

I’d like to especially know of great shades for desi skin tones at Origins and The Body Shop.

hmmm I had make up done at Vasanti recently and she used a gloss but ehh I cant remember the name but its a really light pink color and they dont carry a lot of pinks. I also use estee lauder's sultry blush along with there gloss ginger fizz.

i love plum shades...current faves are estee lauder's pure color velvet lipstick in "Velvet Orchid" and Christian Dior's Dior Addict line in Brilliant Fuchsia.

pink always looks nice on desi tones...u can experiment with it in different shades.

It really depends on your skin tone. Pinks don't suit me at all and neither does gloss unless it's one of those rose juicy tubes by Clarins. I need something a bit darker ... and I love red lipstick although I don't wear it as often as I used to. I stick to brownish/reds that can be worn during the day ... I have too many lipsticks to remember them all, but my latest favourites are Brick-O-La by MAC, Fawn Fatale by L'Oreal. I also like Cocoa by Estee Lauder.

I think neutrals and browns look good on desis :o
PCG you are just gonna have to go to cosmetic counters and try different colors out :o

I usually like Mac lipglosses...they stay longer and the colors are true vibrant colors..they r actually a lot of colors to choose frm! My fav color is Prrr

Or u can use mac lipsticks...or avon lipsticks..!

Hmm.. i like lipgloss, i figure, im still young i can wear it :D .. i wanna red lipcolor but i dunno what wud suit me..the red always ends up looking fuschia :(

pcg .. every shade changes it's tint as it is appied.. according to the skin type n color.
the best way is to apply n find out.
these days mostly lighter are in .

^ true. really depends on ur skin tone etc. i use the lip pallete by lancome. great way to mix match colors.

origins make nice glosses in browns and pinks and softer reds.

PCG it really depends on what kind of look you're going for.. also you can't apply just browns because of your skin tone...clothes should also be a factor in deciding the shade of lipstick

just to name a few of my fav:

Taupe (Matte): MAC

Viva Glam : MAC

Henne: Lancome

Im in love with bright pink with a bit of gloss

Dun like darker shades.

My skin likes light colors with white base
baby pink, baby blue, white and yellow.

Its funny, over there , to figure out makeup colors, makeup artists n stuff will tell u abt skintone and undertones (olive, yellow, warm, cool, blue etc).. over here its “tumhara color fair hai, tumhe sab kuch suit karay ga” :confused:

I bought these two lipglosses from Loreal and maybelline.. i overpaid :bummer: but hte colors r pwettyyyy :blush:
