I noticed under ChannMahi’s name that he has sher-e-punjab under it. Question do they have lions in Punjab? and I am not talking zoo.

I have read there used to be Rhinos in the Frontier as late as the 19th century..excessive irrigation works and deforestation have wiped pout many creatures in Paistan..we still have a few leopards in the far North..some relations told me of a village that wwas frequently visited by leopards near Bisham as late as the 1980's

There is another 4-legged creature in Punjab in abundance but its not lion.

Yeah, before NS had that motorway built we’d have to drive through all these rocky and mountainous areas to get from one place to the other and I remember an incident where we saw a few big cats, can’t remember whether it were a leopard or a cheetah.

I also read on a yoghurt pot that the oldest evidence of tigers was found in Pakistan.

I always thought Channji was Shere-Punjab, (couplet of Punjab), as in Sher of Hazrat Bulhey Shah:

Nachna vi Ibadaat Ban Janda
Jay Nachnay di vi Chag howay !

Channji is a beautiful Sher of Punjab. He is no way a Lion, calling him a Lion is an insult to Channji. He is so Komal and Nazik Mizaj and fragile.

Channji, if you were single, I could have hooked you up with Roman.

If Channji is a Lion, then I am a Khota.
