Seriously when looking at Lions or any other large predators try and avoid eye contact.

Simply becuase if you avoid eye contact with them they will not be so angry, if you stare into thier eyes it makes them feel threatened and they think your a challange to them.

It is important to observe the animal but do not let your gaze linger or try and stare into it's eyes... It's a strange thing i can't fully explain but basically same applies to human fighters as well... it's all in the eyes. So for your own saftey dont stare! Treat Lions with respect they are the kings of their realm, they dont like being challenged.
