as far as i remember if you post a link of another forum your post usually gets edited saying "no external links allowed".
i dont know if this is still the rule.

If its relevant then its ok, but honestly, for most the part, mods and even members can tell the difference if the post is formulated just to post the link or link is a genuine reference to the topic of the post.

Did that forum begin with 'G' too, if it's the one I think it is that was legendary, but with members calling the police so much it had no choice but to close.

Lol, I don’t know what you’re talking about :S
I used to manage a forum for my school, all the branches were part of it and it used to get a lot of activity before it just kind of died out after we left school. It wasn’t a school ordained forum, in fact identities were closely guarded since some exposed users got into trouble for expressing their views about the school management. Some school admins/teachers even registered as spies
