Lining on panel kameez or not?

Assalam wa Alaikum n hi everybody

Would really like some advice. I’m getting a panel wali A-line kameez stitched. Do the chiffon panels need lining underneath or should i just wear a petticoat??

I would line it. Without lining it will be see-through and your petticoat will be noticeable; it won't look nice.

I dont know whats panel. But u should not only get the lining but also get it stitched with the shirt or it wont look good.

Ps: I like chiffons a lot. But to me a dress made up of chiffon looks good only when its a long shirt along with a patiala. No long shirts or A lines.

Acha the other panel is of sequins cloth so the lining should be of the whole kameez right or just the chiffon panel?

Im alternating one chiffon and one sequins panel. And it is a long A-line kameez

what is a panel??? :S and y wud anyone wear a peticoat underneath A line?? I thot thaz only for sari's???

I think it's best to let your tailor decide how he wants to do that. He will probably put lining below the whole thing, that's what is usually done.

it depends if the chiffon and the sequins fabric are of the same colour.

^the above one was monotoned,chiffon, so I got the lining stitched with it.

^this one has multicoloured panels that I am making for a client and I am getting a matching lining stitched beneath each of the panels to make out the colours better.

I have seen the above outfit ditto same done at one of the boutiques here in Dubai, am surprised that the paki lady incharge and owner of that boutique, said its her own concept :-0

if u wear a seperate lining it wudnt support the panels n they wud fall flat, besides lookin v noticeable.
