Southie if you havent read the Gullivers Travels you have missed an epitome.

Well Gulliver tends to sail through 4 different (but unknown to the rest of the world ) parts of the world during his voyages. First was Lilliput, the inhabitants of which Hareem talked about in her OP. Second country was Brobdingnag. Then Laputa and then the land of Houyhnhnm’s.

Thanks Mirage! I vaguely recall reading the book maybe mid-70s. The only thing I recall is Gulliver towering over the Lilliputians. I should revisit that book.
