liliputians

Re: liliputians

Now Aaaaaaaliyaaaa hasxa new mystery to solve-! Who are these Bromdejegsrians?

Re: liliputians

Yea atleast nearer the perfect beings. Although even them not being perfect as descripted by Swift. Yet nearer. Thats why the king Gulliver meets there is called the philosopher king; ruler of a state Swift perhaps deemed could have been better. But well Swift never meant to show anything in a positive stance about mankind in the book. Doesnt really look like he did.

Re: liliputians

Southie if you havent read the Gullivers Travels you have missed an epitome.

Well Gulliver tends to sail through 4 different (but unknown to the rest of the world ) parts of the world during his voyages. First was Lilliput, the inhabitants of which Hareem talked about in her OP. Second country was Brobdingnag. Then Laputa and then the land of Houyhnhnm's.

Re: liliputians

Thanks Mirage! I vaguely recall reading the book maybe mid-70s. The only thing I recall is Gulliver towering over the Lilliputians. I should revisit that book.

Re: liliputians

In a way we are when we fight over trivial matter,

The one most important lesson you come away with is the “Lillputian Wars” over which side of the Egg is cracked before they eat Lil ole breakfast boiled Egg!

In One tiny Country every person crackes the pointed end of the egg before they eats it, the other Tiny Town & Country crackes the large end so they have this War over this issue!

sounds familiar?
