Some bans are reasonable but others result from the admin having a bad day and taking undue offence. For example, when TLK, despite being an overall cool dude, just banned two members for the most inane reason because they politely sided with an undesirable member in one of the blogs. As a result of which, we lost a very good member in Milly, who wasn’t banned herself but took offence at the reasoning of TLK. So, I think the admins should be a lot more objective when handing out lifetime bans.

The place is over-moderated as it is.

I have become hoarse over the years saying this. You guys need a transparent system in place with appeals and such. Most if not all discussion forums have them if the moderatorship is not trusted or respected. Its simple. If someone is banned you explain why and you tell everybody. Name and shame.

You guys have serious credibility issues and that is not just me. Its pretty obvious everybody has gripes and everybody has their own groups/views. So just make it transparent. People will respect that and it will attract more people. You could do with some more diversity.

I agree with Zafra. I think there should be a page which lists recently banned members and the reason. I also don’t see a point of banning a person for little things because those people can make another id and join GS.
