I agree that some people are opinionated and are biased towards or against certain things but isn’t diversity the whole point of being on a forum in the first place. Explicit content should be removed/not allowed but banning someone permanently isn’t something that would do any good to anyone. It just doesn’t make sense to me. When you post on the forum, everyone isn’t going to like you but not everyone is going to hate you either. Isn’t it?
Life time bans never happened because of one statement, or a single incident. It’s almost always the repeated negative behavior that results in a lifetime ban.

That’s very vague really and totally subjective. Why not limit lifetime bans to extreme cases of harassment/stalking, etc. and let the negative behaviour take its due course by either being purged out by the members themselves, taken with a grain of salt or even embraced and enjoyed - depending on your tolerance levels.
Like I’d like to see Southie and ButtSb back. They were anything but negative.

it really is hard to fathom Southie saying anything that warrants a ban, much less a life ban. yes he had a liberal point of view that ran his moral compass at odds with many on the fora, but that is no basis for censorship or ban, he guy was always polite, and irritatingly apologetic if anything. whoever found him a threat is a wonder of gs.
and people like ButtSb throw a few flame baits here and there and challenge the pseudo-feminists of life1 in creative ways, keeping the yin and yang of GS going. without them the whole forum is filled with content that is the equivalent of steamed vegetables with the same point of view written by a dozen people day after day.

Ok negative behaviour is something like constantly insulting members, constantly testing the limits of GS policies etc. Yes it’s subjective, and it’s very hard to put a definition. But when you are looking at the behavior of someone that has a constant agenda then that person automatically comes under the watchlist.
I am not going to discuss the ban of any individual here. There are always more reasons of someone’s ban than what general membership perceives. I can’t give that specific info of why someone was banned
