that's horrible, some people here have real problems in their lives and come here for support and advice and then when they get weird unrelated comments on their problems, it can bring them down even more.
yes a therapist is better but some people here(other than the jokers and people poking fun at the TS's expense) give some wonderful helpful advice. if it's just for fun for some people here, there's always the jokes forum.

I will reiterate the point I have made numerous times on this forum:
Random schmucks over the internet who receive biased 1 sided stories can not provide an accurate accounting to give any advice. They are after all schmucks on the internet.

actually some of those serious comments given by what you call “schmucks”
were actually similar to what a therapist/other nonvirtual friends had said when i asked them about a friend’s problem. it’s just easier to talk things out. and of course people here know that it’s strangers giving advice but at the end of it all it’s the person with the problem that has to make the final decisions
who do men go to when they have personal problems or issues they can’t think of an easy solution to? i mean they might or might not have talked it over with friends/family

of course we should take it from close friends and family but i just think sometimes it does help to talk things out here in Life1, these are all adults that are out of high school and of course mods are always watching so like somebody already said, it's just so the person can sort things out and think things through. people here would be unbiased since they don't know the person asking for help. the person is anonymous. nobody said you shouldn't go to nonvirtual friends. anything that helps

FFS! The serious problems that are posted here are mostly one side of the story, and more of a rant than a thought through account of a real problem. And just by looking at the parties involved and the first impression of 'oppression against women' you can very well tell what responses that 'problem' will be getting. The only thing this place is probably good for is people get to hear what they want to hear. Oh and it is definitely very effective for putting people off the idea of marriage. You look at the 'problems' posted by the married ladies here, the way their mind works and the kind of support they get from other married (heck, even unmarried) ladies, and you come to the conclusion that this **** aint worth it.

I don’t remember why I started visiting Life1 
Sometimes I vent, mostly I’m passing the time while at work 
I would like to give credit to Life1 though, the poster here sure made me lighten up… I was too serious about everything … reading some posts here made me realize how good I have it and sometimes you do need that dose of reality from people you don’t know. Everyone I know (who’s around me) pretends life is all peachy-keen while here on Life1 you find out, its not.
