Is it true that if you lived under Shari’a law and insulted Islam or God you would be sentence to death as punishment?

Here's what the Bible has to say regarding blasphemy.
"He that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him." -- (Leviticus 24:16)
Okay so that's fair enough, buttt the early clergy decided lets add a bit to God's law and kill a few newborn babies too.
"Because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die." -- (2 Samuel 12:14)****

Nope. The current Gospel and Torah are alterations of the originals and have therefore been abrogated by the Koran but I just thought it would be interesting to mention what the Judeo-Christian scripture has to say about it.
In Islam, I know if a Muslim apostates in a Shari'ah ruled land he gets the capital punishment and that includes apostasy by blasphemy. I don't know what the rule is regarding non-Muslims who blaspheme.

Yikes. Good thing sharia is practiced literally in very few countries.

UTD, it really depends on what exactly do you mean by Sharia. Laws enacted by Pakistan do imply that you can get a death sentence for blasphemy, and they are justified through Sharia.
Asking questions about life under Sharia is like asking how is life under democracy .. depending on which democracy you talk about, Egypt’s or Scandinavian, the answer will be different.
