Life And Its Challenges

New immigrants to North America face typical challanges and obstacles. Many have sad stories of hard struggle since most of them enjoyed high quality of life in their former country. Change and transition of moving from one continent to another is always difficult and extremely painful. But those who successfully manage it, have a rewarding life.

I too experienced many ups and downs during two years of existence in the new world. I traveled across several parts of North America ranging from British Columbia to Atlanta and drove in the difficult mountain terrain of west coast in the midst of intense winter with absolutely no mountain driving experience.

I would be curious to learn from other immigrants who too have gone through similar life course like mine. They can either post it here or can contribute to my blog at http://salimmmn.blogspot.com/

Re: Life And Its Challenges

The main reason why the majority of immigrants who migrated to N.A. was because their life was a hell.

You're definitely part of the minority here.

That's your only struggle? Then bhai, I suggest you get to see the really struggling people.

Re: Life And Its Challenges

^^ tru
(my concern is who asked him to do awara gardi on mountain with no mountain driving experience :barbie:?)

Re: Life And Its Challenges

It was not an awara gardi. It was a sheer compulsion. I was unemployed and had to drive 350 KM from Kelowna to a remote canadian town near US border on the mountain road to attend the interview. Of course, my interviewer paid for the air fair and three days hotel stay. But even then I had to bear other expenses (keeping cab for four days and things like that) and ended up spending over $800 just to attend an interview.

Re: Life And Its Challenges

Yes that's what I am interested to know how others managed their most difficult period.

Re: Life And Its Challenges

flaw was in ur description sir. hope u realized this factor after reading three comments

Re: Life And Its Challenges

okay !! so u're asking others to mention their experiences regarding hardships & obstacles they faced intially in U.S , and u've just one harsh travel/trip experience ( which sounds more like an adventure to me ) to share ...................... how about those who've been in U.S and canada for more than 7-8 years and still struggling for jobs ?? and haven't settled down ??......................

................. not neccesarily
