Life after marriage

hi to all,

I was just wondering how many people think that it is very important after marriage to have your own independence? How many people would settle for a life of staying at home and looking after kids whilst hubby works? Whilst it is important to raise a family it is equally important to not reply solely on hubby for financial support. Who thinks that having a good education and career is also equally as important as getting married and having children?

Sorry if this is wrong thread:)

Wrong forum... :)

Re: Life after marriage

its good to have a balance, I work f/t and so does my husband. I work out of choice but I don't need to. Inshallah when I have children I don't want to work, hence why I am setting up my wedding planning business! Got some bookings already! I will prob go p/t following children until the business picks up, but thats not for a few years yet. Want to enjoy life before the responsibility of kids and a few good holidays!

Re: Life after marriage

silsila: Have you already set up your wedding planning business? Thats seems great and it is good to keep balance. I already have one kid and I am training to be an optometrist (optician for anyone that doesnt know) and I cant wait tell I qualify. I have a good relationship with my mother in law, so she looks after my child when I have exams etc. I will probably work part time once I qualify as I could never just sit at home and be a housewife.

Yes it is good to wait a while before you have kids but life is even better with children in it:)

yup its set up and raring to go, check it out on FB groups, RANG Wedding Services!

Re: Life after marriage

**Hi

I think this is to be decided by the mutual consent.. Like if you're qualified, you have time, you have supportive partner.. than its foolish to waste yourself... and if you lack any of the above, or if you dont have management skills, then better to sacrifice your job for the family..
