the only reason that most people that have a real life extreme problem vent on here is b/c when they vent or ask advice about a major problem in their life and how they should cope with it to a friend at work it's that pity or reaction to the situation that the friend makes or there might be judging or the relationship between the two people changes(the friend and the person with the problem)....there might be awkwardness. here it's a bunch of faceless people that for the most part want to help.

on the net it's anonymous, there are no consequences of making such extreme problems known and i personally don't see any harm in only asking for different viewpoints and useful advice or just venting b/c people aren't really making a life changing decision based on what people say here b/c the only person that knows their problem best is the OP of the thread, they know that they are the ones that have to make the final call, that have to take responsibility for the consequences of their decision. for some talking it out or writing it out helps

Venting is fine, within some limits...otherwise blogs are there to vent as much as someone wants..but it's those extreme hypothetical scenarios that simply do zero.

"Your husband runs away with a bucktoothed Somalian pirate and changes his name to booty. Should you still make khichri for his mother every basant .." , type of absolute zero value add that is annoying.

The perps know who they are, the enablers should just ignore them too, the perps will give it up or go away, and it will be no loss.
