Actually, no. I could careless either way. I was just making the point that day earlier rebels were danging him half-dead on streets & now they think its important that he must get an Islamic burial.

I know what you were saying … I’m merely saying that perhaps they recognise the corpse burial is now THEIR responsibility to deal with properly after all that rage has gone from them and they can now think a bit more clearly.

I don’t understand why you feel confused that they beat him and then respect his body … Muslims do these sorts of the things all the time … quick to enrage - do something wrong - feel guilty - and then find ways to make up for it …

My initial rant was only aimed at the first point - why are we quick to get enraged and then later on make up for it … but then again why would any Muslim, one who is far removed from it all, favour beating someone to a pulp, shooting that person dead, and then still insist on throwing the corpse in a gutter … surely this is totally alien to Islam … ?
