They aren't fighting US forces, they are blowing up their bretheren who are working for a future for their country. A future that would give them a say in their government for the first time ever. If these 'insurgents' gave a crap about their country they would work within a political framework and not kill and terrorize the hard working Iraqis who are.
BTW, if my country was run by a minority that oppressed the masses, restricted freedoms and terrorized my country men, I would welcome an invasion to overthrow the tyrant to help us implement representative rule.

If U.S was in a situation like in Iraq, militias in U.S would pop up. The whole midwest and south is full of 'em, pardon the sterotyping.
The causes would be different however, in U.S it would be for freedom, while in Iraq it is a minority that is trying to reclaim their ruling power by causing mischief and hence the insurgency.

Let me simplify it for you college rejects:
Invading another country - bad.
Kill innocent people in this other country - bad.
Children dying - bad.
People standing up and fighting against invaders - good.
Of course all 4 points above are accepted norms of international law, US law and religious based morality.
When i see the images of naked iraqia tied up and US marines standing above,it saddens and angers me,

I see the images of car fired at by marines and it reminds me of a fellow student in college yrs ago who came shocked after watching two men stopping a rickshaw and shooting the passenger in broad day light.
I am shocked to read the news of kashmiri women raped by indian army,and i also remember such stories are reported every day in newspapers in Pak.
One reason for all conflict is when people start to think they are morally superior, their morality is more developed whether it may be US who think they need to infuse some civilization in the rest of the world or Saudi arabia who wants to export its 'moral society' around the world.

saudi arabia is not a colonial power it does not have the influence or have military capability to invade other countries. Saudi arabia is contained by the Amerikkan forces in saudi itself.
The US is a colonial power with ever intention of occupying and exploiting every situation there is a clear difference.
Saudi arabia exports there version of islamic shariah by means of books etc that is true but I have not heard of Saudi Arabia nuclear bombing Japan or of invading veitnam throughout its history just to name 2 examples.
