How do you keep religion out of this one? We're not discussing political views here, are we? Your criteria for liberals, moderates, conservatives is based on their religious views so why keep religion out of this one?
I don't even understand why you care, theorist. Religion meant nothing to you the last time I checked so you should be the last person categorising the religious lot into different categories. Anyway, work away and start off by explaining what you mean by liberal, moderate and conservative.
Because I created this thread. Religious discussions here lead to nasty arguments especially given the topic here, it could get real nasty.
YES, we are discussing political/cultural views, hence the term DESI, and you are welcome to post those here.
I don't care about religion but understanding religion helps me understand my community, my people. This is the only reason I care about it. :)
This isn't meant to be a serious discussion, which is why I asked to keep religion out of it.
Definitions-
Liberal- *a. * Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry.
*b. * Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded
Conservative-
** a. ** Favoring traditional views and values; tending to oppose change.
** b. ** Traditional or restrained in style: a conservative dark suit.
Moderate -
**a.** not extreme or excessive; within due or reasonable limits moderate demands
**b.** (Government, Politics & Diplomacy) a person who holds moderate views, esp in politics
umm i would need options to choose from..for I don’t know how many of the aunty-numas are really aunties when the meaningless number age is considered :halo: and on the downside even my ‘aapi/baji’ status has changed to aunty now (rishte mei obviously :p)
