for the issues you have mentioned, yes. There can’t be a middle ground for such issues because the choice isn’t available the way you have put it.. Moderates will tell you: well, i am pro choice but I do not condone abortion just for the heck of it, the girl should be a victim of sexual abuse, rape or whatnot for an abortion to be ok for me. They would tell you tax the rich more and tax the poor less. Healthcare should be available to all but the richa$$ dudes need to pay for most of it.
They see the grey area that most liberals and conservatives miss. What’s the difference between moderates and liberals/conservative: they can be easily convinced and are likely to be right. I am a hardcore liberal and I wish I could see things sometime that are crystal clear to moderates. It takes me a while to see it from their point of view.
