I’m confused, I thought Enigmatic was talking about you. Why would I oppose desi women’s rights? I consider myself a rebel in my khandaan in terms of standing up for women’s rights like marriage, education, jobs, house, property, treating daughters same as sons, putting an end to dumb traditions like dowry etc etc… so I don’t get it.

Where did the words slut and drunkard come from? You do know I live in Ireland, right? A country where half the population makes beer and the other half drinks it? And ALL my friends are non-muslims and ALL of them love to do things that I’d consider horrendous for my own children/siblings e.g. drinking, zina etc. I’ve never judged them, never treated them differently than how I would treat a desi friend. You asked me whether these things are cool with me and I said no and the reason is obvious - t’is haram. How is that stereotyping?

I don’t (neither do I have the right to) challenge your principles. This thread is only about who is liberal, conservative or moderate. You are CONSERVATIVE, and I think you will agree with me.

Like my aunt is liberal. My cousins never drank, but my aunt never had any problems with them going out with girls.
