Mr. Pakistani Mard as we all know is highly interested in things from US POV. In deference to his interest, I thought it would be useful to list the attributes of liberals moderates and conservatives in the US.
If the person cares for open and free access to voting for all he is a liberal. If the person goes out of his way to throw hurdles he is a conservative. A person who is indifferent is a moderate.
one who opposed the Iraq war - liberal (10%). One who campaigned for it - conservative. One who just believed the spin from the right - moderate.
3) if the person cares abt the environment he is a liberal. If a person ridicules those who care for the environment, he is a conservative. Indifferent - moderate.
For example - a liberal staying in a hotel would use one towel in 3 days, turn off lights when leaving, put ac or heat to low is a liberal. One who uses 3 towels a day, who leaves Tv lights on just because he has paid for it - conservative. A person who at times turns lights off if switch nearby but wont walk across the room to turn of a light - moderate.
If a person drives a fuel efficient vehicle, accelerates gently to minimize fuel waste, wont use drive through and does not idle car is liberal. One who drives gas guzzlers, accelerates TOWARDS red light and screeches to a halt, idles for 15 min while waiting in parking lot or uses crowded drive through - conservative. Person who does all of above but in a slightly smaller vehicle - moderate.
Person who is for a fair wage - liberal. One who wants to squeeze those at bottom of totem pole - conservative. Person who could not care less either way - moderate.
Person who is for health care for all - liberal. One who wants the rich to get the best care and the middle class and poor be damd - conservative. A person who is still trying to weigh all factors - moderate.
Person who shows support of troops by bringing them home and getting them support - liberal. Person who shows support by putting magnets on his car while feeling no pang for repeat deployments - conservative. Person who takes no stand - moderate.
Person who things Muslims will bring Shariya law, that Muslims should not be allowed to build a community center at the erstwhile world trade center- conservative. Person who thinks opposite - liberal. Person who is still deciding - moderate.
A person who may or may not be religious but believes in the freedom of all to practise any religion - liberal. A person who believes there is a war on Christianity, conservative. Moderate - one who is still deciding.
A person who wants to force women to undergo vaginal probe process - conservative. Person who believes in a woman's right to not be subject to involuntary invasive process - liberal. One who is still weighing both sides - moderate.
Lastly - here is a subset of the moderate - the fiercely independent set - they still have not decided who to vote for.

There should be an exception to this rule. Can I please get crazy with a car once a week, Palease. I'm all for fuel efficiency, but as a car enthusiasts it can be hard not to floor the gas pedal, sometimes.

If your idea for balancing the budget is to give tax cut to top 1%, increase Pentagon spending way beyond requested funds, and remove funding for PBS ( 6 hours worth of Pentagon budget) you are a conservative.
Liberal - progressive tax - rich pay more a % of salary, reduce defended spending increase education budget.
