Its a urine test, similar to the home pregnancy tests. The stick is treated with a chemical that turns a certain color when LH is detected so when you get the right color on the stick, you know that you're just about to ovulate. The surge of LH is what causes a ripe egg to burst out of the ovary and start its travel down the fallopian tube.

its confirmed abt rippening of egg n rupture ?
coz i had also treatment of clomid n then HCG shot but nothing happened.
this time first month of metphage n kit predicted LH surge.

When the LH surge is detected, its pretty sure that a ripened egg will release. So, its not a guarantee of course but its a really good sign.
