Letting go and moving on

How is letting go/moving on from incidents etc, different than, say, pretending it never happened or ignoring events that took place and letting yourself not think about it…ie. just avoiding it?

LMAO!! ^

Re: Letting go and moving on

It is important to think about what happened, process the information, discuss it if necessary before deciding to let it go. Pretending that it never happened skips the processing/thinking/discussion part, hence leaving things unsettled and hanging in the air, and leaving the elephant in the room. Former is a better way to go about things.

:hehe:

Jaanwar thats a good way of looking at it…

Re: Letting go and moving on

Exactly.

Moving on requires that you don't avoid it and that after dealing with it, you feel OK about it, i.e. not extremely hurt or angry.

Re: Letting go and moving on

Pretending it never happened or ignoring it is first step towards moving on.

Re: Letting go and moving on

Some time pretending that it did not happen helps. :hinna:

But I think its like taking tranquilizer, to avoid pain.

Eventually we have to make peace, I think… hmmm

Re: Letting go and moving on

it take time to letting go and moving on

Re: Letting go and moving on

It also depends on what you want to spend your valuable time on. There are things in life that happen due to some ppl not being able to process information correctly, they have a lot of free time where their thinking is corrupted by shaitaan and they just want to create problems out of nothing.. those are the hardest ppl to deal with since logic and reason is beyond their comprehension.
