Letter to your children

Baby books usually have a page where you write a little letter to your baby, or child at one.

I would love to read some letters to your children.

Share yours please.

Re: Letter to your children

here's one that I wrote for my elder daughter -

Dear S,

As all parents, I wish the world for you. (a great career, education, travels and an enriching life). But I wish the most are not worldly things. A love for humanity, the gift of generioisty and forgiveness and foremost religion.

As the eldest, you have the reposnisilbty to take care of your siblings. You don't need ample resources to do this, just a big heart which I know you have.

Stay true to what you are and where you came from. I

have never prayed for anything more than I prayed to have you. Allah has turely blessed us

Love always

Mom

Awww NJ :naak:

I’ve wrote a couple so far in all of my childrens’ baby books, but i don’t go back to read them…EVER. I know i’ll just start crying… :naak:

Re: Letter to your children

maroush - stop being such a cry baby - type away. I still have to write something for my younger one.

Re: Letter to your children

very sweet letter njgal. have you mamas made scrapbooks as well? i haven't yet ... but I need to start one asap.

Re: Letter to your children

:naak: Nj that is beautiful.

The schools here have us write a letter to use as part of their emergency kits in the event of a natural disaster during which they are stuck in school. Each kid has a little bag in school with non-perishable snacks/drinks, a change of clothes, blanket, flashlight and a family picture plus that letter. In those letters I have written encouraging words and a message to have faith that all will be well.

Re: Letter to your children

awww njgal , that was totally touching :hugz: ..

Parenting doesnt sound like an easy job :hinna:

Mehnaz - I just have baby books. Scarpbooking is too much of an effort for me. My sister has made beautiful ones though. They are worth the effort when you see them after years.

I am glad I got them though. These kiddos grow up so fast and pictures don’t capture all the words or little details of memories.

For instance today I was browsing throught their baby books and I had totally forgotten that my daughter use to call me “MAASSII” when she was younger :omg: I think it was “MAA JEE” or that’s what I would like to think :bummer:
