been there for a while..and I kinda miss it!

I would like to draw the attention of SSP Islamabad to the following incident. On January 26, 2000, I was
travelling in my car No. 2345 NWFP-Swat from Peshawar to Islamabad. At about 9:15 am, I was stopped at the police checkpoint from the Grand Trunk Road to Islamabad, for documents. A constable and a
head-constable were doing the checking. The documents of the car were in order. Instead of letting me go, they started harrassing. I was told that my car seemed to be a stolen one at which I produced the purchase documents. Even then, they will not let me proceed on my journey. After an hour’s ordeal, I was told that I should treat them to “Mithai”, without which I could not leave. Being a law abiding citizen and a bank executive, I refused to accede to their demand. I was detained for an additional half an hour.
I request the Islamabad police to probe into the matter to save others like myself from dishonest individuals who bring a bad name to their department.
