Someone wants to buy something from you because they need it, not because you are selling it or even offering it.
Let’s say they’ve come right out and said that they will pay x amount of money, even though that thing is worth 2 times that or more.
Let’s say it’s one of your favorite possessions and you DON’T want to sell it.
And lastly, let’s say that this person has done you wrong in the past but you are still too soft-hearted to either refuse to sell or demand that object’s full worth. What do you do?
How do you tell them that nicely without ruining your relations with them? She's a close relative and I know really needs that thing. And I feel bad asking her for the full amount because I know she can't afford it.
I know how this is gonna end. She's gonna get something I spent ages trying to find for free :)

maybe offer them something similar..i don't even know what it is they want, so i don't know...
i guess it all depends on how much this thing means to you. If it holds great personal value then im sure an explanation of this value will be understood.
