Let's not forget about Colombia

In the US’s zeal to remove the dictatorial regime of Saddam, I hope we do not forget about assisting the democratically elected government of Colombia in defeating the narco-terrorist FARC. Colombians have been fighting a 25 year plus war against drug cartels, leftist rebel terrorists, rightwing death squads, corrupt governments and the like. Colombia is one of the most beautiful countries on earth and it ranks very high in terms of having the friendliest, most gracious civilian population in the world.

With the FARC terrorist car bombing in downtown Colombia yesterday http://www.reuters.com/news_article.jhtml?type=worldnews&StoryID=1616683 and the armed conflict in Medellin last week, the battle has taken to the city streets. It is high time for Congress to loosen the purse strings and expand the rules of engagement for and the scope of assistance offered by US military personnel.

Im sure that helping stop drug traffic seems like the purpose of the War on Drugs. But, its obvious from here, that the money raised in all fascists of the The Drug War is too large to stop. There are very powerful people who benefit from the Drug War and Sales, and they don't care about the problem: only their riches.
