lets make a fresh start !

salams!
i have alwayz wondered why there is so much disharmony and resentment among different ethnic groups of pakistan..one reason that could very well be the driving force behind such ill will is the fact that every single ethnic group is so pround of his traditions nd culture, there is nothing wrong with being proud of his heritage, but the problem arises when we start degrading or maligning other ethnic communities, being completely oblivious of the fact that they r also feel high of their cultures…Pakistan is the country where ppl have stronger affiliation with ethnicity rather than their bond to their cuntry nd that is one of the key reasons why pakistan is still reeling as n under developed country ..gupshup is no different in this regard, u will observe fights or heated arguments going on between different groups…or some ppl cursing some city of pakistan…we dont have tolerance on which so much emphasis is given in Islam…
n other trait which is becoming hallmark of our society is leg pulling , we cant see ny person succeeding in his life…last month Dr. ishrat hussain , governor of state bank of pakistan, was giving lecture in my uni, he was mainly discussing why pakistan has not been able to acheive what it is capable of, the main reason according to him was that we r so good as individuals but we r not so gud when we work as a team nd for success at this level , u need a very dedicated nd concerted team effort(recently concluded cricket series is just the latest proof) nd we r lacking that, bz in fighting amonselves…
no wonder why Pakistan is considered as a nation where there is not much hope left (i know i m being cynic), we dont need ny external enemy to destroy us , we r annihilating ourselves :frowning:
lets try to improve ourselves ,lets spread love rather than hatred, lets be united for the sake of our future generations, lets start from gupshup nd stop attacking other communities, lets bury the hatred nd acrimony nd make a new nd fresh beginning ( i know i m getting emotional now  )
ur thoughts r welcome nd plz ignore my incoherent writing style :stuck_out_tongue:
regardz

Noble ideas but they are unrealistic.

People don’t see the point in Pakistan or being united with people who have a different heritage, different language, different culture, different values and a different way of life than their own.

Up to now the bit of Islam Pakistanis had kept Pakistan kind of united but with the help of Indian and Western media, porn channels on dish, Paki-Meraasi’s, and the fixed matches Islamic pride is being eradicated and when that’s totally gone from the hearts and minds of Pakistanis, Pakistan will become history.

What about homosexuality? How does that play in Pakistan?

Kindly stop generalising your opinions onto 150 million others.

you are not 'people', certainly not 'people' enough to represent the thoughts and opinions of a nation.

and no, theres precious little to suggest that your incoherence and disconnect with our identity is reflected on a mass scale in pakistan.

Well it exists, but it is illegal, unless your foreigner!

RT I agree with your views.

I fail to understand why these people are proud of their ethnicities to such a degree that they look down on others, like its hidden from anyone how great their culture really is or how beautiful they are, who are they trying to fool? :hehe:

It’s Pukhtuns thinking they are superior to Punjabis, Jatts thinking they are superior to other Punjabi’s etc.

Like that Afghan dude here with two nicks (didn’t have the sense to change his avatar) going on about Afghan pride, I don’t see anything about them to be proud of??? Thinks he’s superior because they usually have fairer skin, muscular and taller bodies? Big deal, that alone is not good looking. The only Pukhtuns who are good looking according to my taste are Swati girls (that’s of they really are Pukhtuns), there’s no doubt about that they have beautiful eyes and noses, real heartthrobs, if they look down on others with some nakhra then they have every right to do so.

Same with Punjabis looking down on Pukhtuns thinking of them as some janglis out of hooba hooba land and their caste system, the ones at the top of the caste system who think of themselves as the highest are usually the ugliest and most uncivilised.

All these concepts are Jaahiliyyat, we need to leave them behind, and if anyone wants to be a good person he should look towards Islam not Pukhtunwaali, I agree it’s very good in parts but those good things like bravery, ghairat etc. are also found in Islam.

Being a Punjabi or a Pukhtun isn’t going to give you a free pass to Jannat, in Allah Paak’s eyes it’s our taqwa which makes us better.

:k:

i think saying by Marin luther says it all that we need :
"We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools."
