In Hindi it means a person who changes his affiliation according to opportunities
But hyderabadi baigan is way different
Hyderabadi speak rough but are more emotional than people of other metros, in fact have better attitude. In hyderabadi friend circle they use most obscene of words but it carries no offensive meaning to anyone, They are very warm hearted people, this is most special thing about people of Deccan, very much straight forward people, And Hyderabad will remain my favourite city because of attitude of people and special Irani Chai:k:

Baigan in arabic is 'Bazinjaan' <--- sounds like a name of country :D
Seems to me like name lover like Jaan e Jaan :D

Actually at home i use Nakko instead of nahi....like when my mom asks do you want some curry , i say nakko.........:)

OMG, I wonder where is Faris from, because I've never heard the pushto he speaks. Its so different from any dialect of pushto I've ever heard, and I've heard many.
What's your name? in Pushto is "Sta sa nuum de" or Sta nuum sa de. Unlike, what he stated, there definitely is a difference better what and your .. what=Sa and Your = Sta
I know a little bit of pushto, mujhey thori thori pushto aati hai = mala laga laga pukhto raazi. or mala laga laga pushto razee.
I understand = za pohegam
You are very adorable = ta der khaista ye. Ta der khkulay ye .. for girls, der would be dera.
You are very annoying... that's a tough one :) Ta der tangol kai .. this would do :) but the literal meaning is tum buhn tang karte ho.. not realy you are very annoying. :)

In potwari its simply "upper aa"
In Pashto its "da ora"
Da in pushta means this.. as for Ora I have no idea if this word exists in pushta. we say "bara rasha" or "paas rasha"
Rasha means come, bara and paas both mean up

Pushto has so many different dialects, I"m sure both I and Faris are correct. We probably come from different areas :)

Grandfather :Neeka for both paternal and maternal
Grandmother ; nya, for both
Bhai : Wror (pronounced more like Ror)
Behn : Khor
Chacha zad = Da tra zway/ or da tra luur ... basically no specific words for these relations but chacha = tra and son = zway / luur = daughter
Mamoo zaad = da mama zway / luur
Khala zaad = da tror zway / luur
Phupi zaad = da popo zway / luur but mostly the tror zway / luur
Khala = tror or maasi in some areas

^ Can I ask what the difference is between Pashtuns who speak "Pakhto" and other Pashtuns who speak "Pashto"? The first group will use "kh" whereas the latter one will use "sh". Do they understand each other?
