Seriously Speaking, this artwork is associated with agricultural life. Perhaps created by an artist in a farming community.

ever saw roman numbers???
Roman Numerals:

The system of number symbols created by the Romans had the merit of expressing all numbers from 1 to 1,000,000 with a total of seven symbols: I for 1, V for 5, X for 10, L for 50, C for 100, D for 500, and M for 1000. Roman numerals are read from left to right. The symbols representing the largest quantities are placed at the left; immediately to the right of those are the symbols representing the next largest quantities, and so on. The symbols are usually added together. For example, LX = 60, and MMCIII = 2103. M represents 1,000,000—a small bar placed over the numeral multiplies the numeral by 1000.

take a look of roman numbers listed below.

I think an archeologist working on mohenjo-daro found this. why he will write over it? it is believed, this figure was made in between (2500? to 1700BC). why an archeologist will write on such an old figure. don’t you think he will use some other methods to number it.

http://www.gupistan.com/gallery/1/numbers.jpg

in above picture we can see another part where numbers are written and not clear in the picture.

**since I am not sure these numbers were written by artist or the people of that era, I believe the number system using in the world tody has base in pakistan.

it is said algebra ia a word of arabic. jabar word is still in use in pakistan.

(soon will be back with valid proofs)**

Oh dear, a little bit of knowlege a very dangerous thing.

The numbers written in the crude figurine are curator numbers....

The modern numeric systems in use today is based on the arabic numerical system.

tut tut

I got it!! the cart and the animals seem to be levitating in mid air!? (hey u did say whatever comes into ure head..)

well said for you.

do you think I am not aware of this fact??
I have posted a pic that gives us information of numbers that were being use in ancient civilizations.look it again.

http://www.gupistan.com/gallery/1/ancient-mathematical-chracters.jpg

kaka ji I know the number system that is being used today is called arabic number saystem. I know this number system was perfected under the rule of khalifa (caliph) in islamic world.

here is a list of arabic numbers and roman numbers:

http://www.gupistan.com/gallery/1/arabic-number-system1.jpg

(source for pic encarta encyclopedia)

you was calling these numbers english and roman, and now laughing at others.

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/confused.gif

when you said these numbers are roman and english I was laughing at you, but didn’t said it coz of self respect.

when I was posting this pic I was aware the number system that is being used today is called arabic number system. these numbers were not use by the arabs before the conquered sindh province of pakistan. (detail will be posted soon)

due to lack of time I am not able to reply with details. soon I will appear with the valid avidences and proofs.

all other people are allowed to write everything that comes in their mind. (after looking at the picture)

2.. those who are with me to discover the birth place of the numbers that are being in use today are allowed to write only with proofs and avidences, and with the respect for the others.

things that are not written down by me in this post are just because I am looking proof before asking any word. It doesn’t mean I am not aware about them.

(just for proof: I am aware about hindu numbers, I am aware about harrapan civilization, I am aware about the names of arab and persian mathematicians who perfected algebra, I am aware waht does the word jabru means in arababic, I am aware about first western who introduced these numbers in west, I am aware about the names of those mathematicians who write the first equation of algebra, I am aware about who started the word x in agebra and much more)

3.. I know I have limited knowledge but I don’t want to listen these words from the person who will ask this without prooving any of my sentence wrong. those who want proove me wrong simply read what I have said, and then reply with valid evidence. In this way, there will be no need to say “you are less than me” or “you have little knowledge”. it will be prooved. and I will feel happy that you take it serious and improved my knowledge. And I will respect that person as I do for my teachers.

announcement

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/smash.gif

after Flam zz’s reply that these number will be written down by the people who found this figure, I was investigate about this point. I have found these numbers are not written down later. these are the part of the figure. there are many other these kind of figures where numbers have been written in ancient times.

**once again these numbers were written down In BC. **

http://www.gupistan.com/gallery/1/edited-mohnjo1.jpg

nai yar, i cant beleive that..

because as we all are aware, Arabic script is diffrent from that of engligh script.

we know that, in this part of world, ancient languages are Sansikrat, ARabic, Persian etc.. No tracks have been found of that English or roman languages were used in this part of world, ever in history...

can u prove that these numbers written english script were used here, in harappa regeme?

official announcement of the correct answer<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

The most important thing in this picture is the numbers that are written on the figure. This picture was made between 2500? to 1700 BC. At that time people of this area were able to write, they have developed numerals. The wheel and nail are also noticeable. People were using transportation.

hey man.... i still dont agree with u

how come they know that, its 9025, or 2500 BC ????

if they had developed numerals, how come we dont see any english/roman text over the vessel???

rest of the result is fine, but i dont agreee with u over the numerals
