Guys, we can vent all we want on this forum, but we really need to bring it to the attention of the responsible institutions
I am looking for more ways to do everything in my power to challange this.. Please list as many ways of protesting it as possible. I know a couple so far…
Re: Lets do something Re: Ball Tampering Accusation
??????????
Yes we can,...........i think we shud make up a frame of an email we could all send,..to Sky News...altering the words slightly each time,................i mean its not fair,....us getting accused again,............come on Mr. Genius........
Re: Lets do something Re: Ball Tampering Accusation
sumthin like.........."WE find it hard 2 blv that the panel of umpires have the audacity 2 accuse our team of tampering with the ball. We have seen this happen time and time again,..and it deems far from acceptable."............................LOL,..........sumthin along the lines,...........wat say?
Re: Lets do something Re: Ball Tampering Accusation
Getting PCB to grow a spine would be the best way to approach this...Ex-diplomats, devoid of any cricketing knowledge and nuances running the show is bound to create mismanagement and mishandling of tricky situations...First step would be to rid PCB of this inefficient bureaucratic stranglehold, getting astute individuals with background in cricket administration ought to be the second step...
We must take a firm stand, even if thrown out of ICC
We watch and support our team for national pride and this shud come first and foremost.
We shud not allow a dirty F****** rascal to malign us and back down.
PCB shud insist on having Darryl removed from ICC panel and if they do not we shud not play any more international cricket.
If PCB backs down now, this dirty racist white umpire will get a license to misbahve in future.
PCB MUST grow some balls.
Re: Lets do something Re: Ball Tampering Accusation
I think the descision to come out has put us into a hole. Sheryar Khan saying that we wanted to register a protest by staying in for a few minutes doesnt hold since there was obviously a deal brokered between the two boards.
It will need the backing of Srilankan and Indian boards if we are to succeed here. Since the subcontinent holds a huge financial sway, a couple of threats should get the ICC to act.
Re: Lets do something Re: Ball Tampering Accusation
I think I've heard abt someone writing a complaint abt the cricket, on cricinfo, and they actually replied with useful info. But that was last year, and I dunno how true it was.
Re: Lets do something Re: Ball Tampering Accusation
lol..president musharraf has intervened and talked to sharyar khan .the latest is that pakistan has asked for an apology from daryl hair before they agree to go back on the field.hair is a racist pig who has been involved in many controversies before with asian sides,he has even banned asian playes in the past for asking questions.
Re: Lets do something Re: Ball Tampering Accusation
musharraf might have told them to reverse their decision to play ...so i guess thats what they are doing now, letting hair and everybody know that they are gonna take this very seriously.i think its the right decision if Hair can not give any explanation as to why he penalized pakistan or say that he saw somebody scratching the ball then Pakistan should not get on the field. This policemen like behavior by icc umpires where they don't explain anything about their controversial decisions and ban those who question them should not be tolerated by players. Pakistani players taking a stand now will make sure that icc does some about this in the future.
Pakistan should abandon its ICC membership until a more reformed rulling
body is formed.
I think within the next few days all the Boards should send their support and condolences to Pakistan Board condemning this ugly incident.
Or create another ASIAN BLOCK ZONE body against ICC...
What say thee,,,
Yes i totally agree with u Rain...................as sum1 sed in another thread,.we love our cricket but the pride of our nation is not below that and we will do whatever it takes to get our name out the mud!
Re: Lets do something Re: Ball Tampering Accusation
we just need to find out a way to convey this to our team or whoever is making the decisions..... Hair, that SOB called us cheats, so unless we get a formal apology, we can live without cricket.
Re: Lets do something Re: Ball Tampering Accusation
11.15pm An ICC statement adds: "ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed also spoke to umpire Darrell Hair by phone from Dubai.
"Following these meetings the umpires decided that, having made the decision to award the match to England, to change that decision would not be in keeping with the Laws of Cricket. The ICC backs the decision of the umpires."
** "The issue of a charge or charges to be laid ***against Pakistan under the ICC's code of conduct will now be dealt with at the earliest possible opportunity. Pakistan has been charged under level two of the code of conduct, 2.10, which relates to changing the condition of the match ball*."
