India has progressed a lot economically and scientifically that today' global powers are bound to listen India on all platforms.
But will India itself become a global power......with such a population growth which transforms into powerty, malnutrition, unemployment and corruption;.........instead of corruption, I would like to use the word.... corrupt mentality **?????

As President Bush and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh shook hands on the landmark pact Thursday, the World Bank released a study showing that almost 40% of the world’s malnourished children live in India(shameless rats dare to call themself super power:omg:). Bush administration officials say the nuclear accord, which must be approved by Congress, is partly aimed at strengthening India so it can serve as a counterbalance to neighboring China. However, development experts here said the strategy ignores the plight of several hundred million Indians mired in poverty. An estimated 300 million of India’s 1.1 billion people live below the official poverty line of less than $1 a day (its isi consepiciry to malign india). The number of poor is actually much higher because the government underestimates the daily minimum of calories each Indian needs when measuring poverty, Mathew and other experts say. This has led to atmospheric pollution, health hazards and a class of people who clean up the excreta of others:

What a lovely post…commendable accumulation of facts. Only concern is the illusion about how Pakistan is above all such troubles/problems. My understanding is that these problems are certainly present…not going to waste time on getting those facts… doesnt help…those who know reality know that these are areas both countries have miles to travel on. But it is as much a fact that on certain economic measures, India has done well (how utterly needless to point out ‘better than Pakistan’). While it may or may not ever qualify as a superpower…dont delude yourself on Pakistan being Oh So Better than India…
