Let's celebrate some success. Go Ladies!!!

Re: Let’s celebrate some success. Go Ladies!!!

I havent been able to watch the video (at work :frowning: ) but shalll do so when i get home..

but just wanted to add… if u look around ur own community, especially in the desi community, u will see ordinary pakistani women trying to make a difference for their family, for the community… those women are not on the list of famous people, but they are definately needing an all round applause for their effort and contribution to the society as a whole.

I live in a city with not sooo many pakistan people, in comparison to the likes of toronto and american cities… but i must say, some of the women (and men) in our community are just amazing personalities.

We have one lady who has been running the SBS urdu channel for over a decade now.. i remember i must have been about 11 or 12 when she started out… and the show is still running! a wonderful effort by her

then we have another lady who has done law and is running the muslim womens association.. she has got so much recognition in victoria.. and prob even interstate now..

then there are countless doctors who are helping out the community.. arrange charity events and just aiween awiween cultural get togethers..

the list goes on..

we should applaud all such women… and those too who are starting out.

Just because you arent on the popularity radar, doesnt mean u cant make a difference. Have a look at ur family… at ur children (if u have some) or siblings… and see what kind of a difference u can make for them.. how can u make ur life special enough to make them learn.. to give them inspiration.

Even if u inspire just one individual.. its a job well done :k:
