Let's celebrate some success. Go Ladies!!!

Re: Let's celebrate some success. Go Ladies!!!

sorry to interrupt, but i guess baring few adding bunch of models and useless actresses is an insult to other well deserved women in your video. their "achievements" can be listed in a separate list of video.

just my point!

also we all know this forum is dominated by women, however this does not mean that every thing has to be in Life 1, this is more related to Pakistan or Careers sections of GS,

Re: Let's celebrate some success. Go Ladies!!!

^ they arent just a bunch of useless actresses and models ... maybe a couple ... like iman is just a model ... but most of them are "entrepreneurs" or "social workers"... so .. sorry but i disagree with your comment ...
and the majority of the list isnt actresses or models by the way ... if it were, then i'd accept your comment.

to put it down in figures:

61 entries in total

out of which:

12 are models/actresses/dancers without any other things attached
7 are models/actresses/dancers with some sort of entrepreneurship attached, writers, interest in social work etc.

models/actresses being an insult is just your opinion - no comment on that.

Re: Let's celebrate some success. Go Ladies!!!

^ Model /actresses are not insult in my opinion at all. model actresses with high calibre should be on the list, who have achieved a lot.

while you included iman ali, iraj manzoor, you missed Bano Qudsiya, Fatima Surrya Bajia, Samina peerzada, Uzma gillani,

my point was, iman ali or iraj manzoor or Nabila hair artist how they are valued to have achieved more than other models or can they be compiled in the same list where women like Fatima jinnah, Dr Akhtar of SBP are part of it.?

in no way I wish to insult the models or actresses!

Re: Let's celebrate some success. Go Ladies!!!

I don't know if it's true but i read in shorsharaba that Iraj Manzoor is lezbo.

Re: Let’s celebrate some success. Go Ladies!!!

:smack: REALLY SHAK! REALLY!
i was only trying to have women from all circles … as i said earlier, the list does go on, and i have definitely missed names, but that is because i chose some other writers or whatever over others .. and i was not doing a list of ALL WOMEN EVER … just a selection. like there are writers, there are models too. so its not about if i missed bano qudsia, then iraj is more important in my eyes

Re: Let's celebrate some success. Go Ladies!!!

I would take one or two "media hoggers" out, but a wonderful effort nonetheless.
Thank you for spreading awareness about the women of substance amongst us. I hope you can find the time to make part 2 of this video :)

^hain? this is a natl sec risk. What if she's thinking abt her nail polish and she's gets shot down by the enemy.

Re: Let's celebrate some success. Go Ladies!!!

I think Musharaf Hai should be the chairwoman, not chairman of Unilever, no?

Anyway, a really commendable work and and I am really impressed you went to the trouble of compiling the list!

Also, I would suggest posting the same video with the title of 'Pakistani women' or even 'beautiful Pakistani women'; that way I guess more people would view the video.

Re: Let’s celebrate some success. Go Ladies!!!

I havent been able to watch the video (at work :frowning: ) but shalll do so when i get home..

but just wanted to add… if u look around ur own community, especially in the desi community, u will see ordinary pakistani women trying to make a difference for their family, for the community… those women are not on the list of famous people, but they are definately needing an all round applause for their effort and contribution to the society as a whole.

I live in a city with not sooo many pakistan people, in comparison to the likes of toronto and american cities… but i must say, some of the women (and men) in our community are just amazing personalities.

We have one lady who has been running the SBS urdu channel for over a decade now.. i remember i must have been about 11 or 12 when she started out… and the show is still running! a wonderful effort by her

then we have another lady who has done law and is running the muslim womens association.. she has got so much recognition in victoria.. and prob even interstate now..

then there are countless doctors who are helping out the community.. arrange charity events and just aiween awiween cultural get togethers..

the list goes on..

we should applaud all such women… and those too who are starting out.

Just because you arent on the popularity radar, doesnt mean u cant make a difference. Have a look at ur family… at ur children (if u have some) or siblings… and see what kind of a difference u can make for them.. how can u make ur life special enough to make them learn.. to give them inspiration.

Even if u inspire just one individual.. its a job well done :k:

I dont think she would be worried abt that stuff on that height.anywayz good luck to them and every lady of Pakistan!
